Many Americans have problems with their feet and some do not realize feet are not supposed to hurt at the end of a long work day. The foot is always in motion and it is always under tremendous pressure from normal everyday activities, such as walking on hard surfaces and pressure from the body's weight. One's entire weight lands on the feet up to 15,000 times per day. Many problems which occur in the feet, lower legs and lower back area can be attributed to misalignment of the joints of the feet. Our practice specializes in custom orthotic appliances to realign the joints of the foot, therefore, normalizing pressures that radiate from the feet through the ankle, the hip, and lower back area.
Our orthotics are designed not only to correct abnormal motions in the feet but also increase shock absorbency with every step. The orthotics we make are thin, light-weight, and fit easily in most of today's shoes. The benefit of our orthotics is the ability to decrease and eliminate a patient's pain while continuing to wear their normal shoe gear.
In reference to other parts of the body, when your eyes give you problems, you normally will get corrective lenses to improve your sight. Don't ignore your feet. Live more comfortably with orthotics.
